Alta 19mm sway bar

Took my car out today for it's first drive after installing the Alta 19mm rear sway bar, and it's great! It has the sport suspension and Konig Featherweights. The sway bar is set on the middle setting, a considerable improvement over stock handling for a reasonable price. Thanks Alta.

Congrats! I have the ALTA 19mm rear sway bar as well, with no other suspension or wheel/tire mods whatsoever. Even so the improvement in handling is quite noticeable, I'm loving it.

Yes because a sway bars stiffness increases exponentially when you increase its diameter.

I have 19mm in the middle setting as well. That setting for me feels like pretty close to neutral but a little bit on the understeer side. That works great for me for safety. If I am losing grip I would rather push than spin out.

Anyone have any issues with the bushings squeaking on the Alta swaybars?
Someone recommended the H&R because the bushings are made from an exclusive urethane/Teflon composite that eliminates squeaks, and don't require lubrication. Or so they say

Also, any difference in straight line ride quality, or is this something only felt when cornering??

No issues here. Then again I made sure to tell my installer to use as much of the included grease packet as possible. Also if you're really concerned, it's wholly possibly to just wrap the ALTA bar with teflon in the two spots where it makes contact with the bushings. Just gotta do it before installing the bar or it's quite complicated.

I haven't noticed any difference in ride quality. Any sway bar does exert some additional force to the suspension on bumps when only one wheel hits something. But it's only to the smallest degree and has been imperceivable to me.

So 19mm is OK, or is 21mm better? What's the OEM size anyway (rear)?

OEM is either 16 or 17mm.....I just got the (H-sport)19mm installed today. I have no more understeer and there is much more grip. I don't feel much body roll if any. The bar is set on the middle setting.

I've got the Alta 19mm bar on the middle setting too. Now if I can just my car back from the paint shop (they had to repair the holes they drilled in my front bumper) I can actually enjoy the sway bar again! :impatient

Any ideas on the size on an OEM '06 MC rear sway? I'm thinking that an old stock S's 17mm might be a nice upgrade for a low, low cost... any ideas ?
