Suspension 235s on a R56!
I am running 235/40/17 Star Spec on a 17x7 et40 with Eibach lowering springs and the rears did rub. I took my air saw and trimed the lip on the plastic fenders off and then they rubbed till the tire wore its path through the fenders. Now it all fits nicely. The tires you guys are using on an 8" wide wheel with et38 must have a much narrower thread block or much more rounded off shoulders that the star specs.
The 17x8 et38 wheel would stick out 14.5mm more than the wheels I am but may be not actually pulling the tire out with it since on 7" my tires are a little "ballooned" out as you can see from my gallery.

I remember reading in one of the other threads about you taking your car to the track. Have you ever compared your lap times on 235 tires against lap times on 205 or 215 tires? Is there a significant time gain?
UZUN
I have never timed myself on the track. All the events I have done are the Porsche Driver Education events and I am out there to pass people and just have fun. The only other tires I have run on the track were the factory Dunlop run-flats that actually exceeded my expectations on the track the first time. I could tell a huge difference in getting the power down coming out of the tighter corners. I have never found the limits in high speed corners with the 235's on it, the car just plain sticks.
