Suspension SPC Control Arms
SPC Control Arms
Any recommendations on where to buy SPC control arms? I saw some older links to Ebay listing which no longer exist. And, have not seen it for lower than $300.
The only place I have really seen them is ebay. Hmmm....
Try this... http://www.vacmotorsports.com/cgi-bi...iew.pl?man=SPC . I have seen them for cheaper if you want to hold out and search...

Just a quick note: Jegs did not have them in stock and would have taken 10+ days to get them. But, the price is very low AND the price includes 2-day shipping but they charge a $12 "handling fee"
IMO, SPC control arms...
...look completely different from any other brand (except Eibach
). They have a really "beefy" look by comparison to most others. I like them.
All of the adjustables use basically the same principle, so I guess weight, convenience (ease of installation and of making adjustments), type of connection ("heim" or other, look up "heim joints" to see pros and cons -- I don't remember them all) durability and looks would be the criteria?
There was a pretty decent thread not too long ago that made an effort to compare several brands, including SPC.

It included may pics and a lot of discussion of what makes a "good" control arm. Although there was a lot of discussion, I was not able to draw a conclusion from the thread, but you might feel differently.
I decided on H-sports based on a strong recommendation of the shop I have started going to. They recommended and installed H-sport control arms and SPC camber plates for me just a few weeks ago. I am happy so far.

I also read that comparison thread and was a tad concerned that one felt that the SPC design was weak, but since I bought and installed them yesterday, time will tell. Out of the box though, they are very "beefy" and impressive as everyone describes it and find it hard to believe that they would be weak in any meaningful way especially compared to stock.
