Too hard? You misunderstand the idea begind the FSD.
They are not like coilovers that could rock you to the bone.
These are very highly engineered shocks that will make your MCS ride so much better than before that you'll wonder why you didn't do this earlier.

I use them with H-Sport springs that lower slightly and they work great. if you decide to use the stock springs you have the FSDs will work eve better.

I read one of the article, they compared FSD and the coilover in the track, they said that FSD is better than coilover !!

Is that true ?

Try a search on FSD. There were a couple of threads last year on the FSDs. Short of an electro-magnetic suspension such as the Corvette Magnetic Selective Ride Control (F55 option code) or the Porsche Active Suspension Management options, the FSDs give the best of both worlds - reduced ride harshness yet tight cornering.

If you meant the TireRack test (this one), they were comparing to the Koni Sport shock absorbers, not coilovers.

There are many posts in the forum about the FSD shocks. Do a forum search on FSD. I have the FSDs and like them a lot. They perform better than OEM shocks but most people get them to improve ride comfort. If you are serious about competition, you can get even better performance with coilovers or stiffer shocks but with a compromise in ride quality.

I have them with H-Sport springs and love them. Much better ride and handling.

I also have the FSD's. Mine are paired with the TSW springs. Check out my gallery for a picture of my car exiting turn 9 at Cal Speedway during a driving school event. This should give you an idea of how these shocks perform on the track. Street ride is as compliant as stock, just with a better rake and less roll.

Lovin' them FSDs!

I love my FSDs. They transformed the car from bouncy to smooth over rough road, and they seem to me to do a better job (than OEM) of keeping the tires in touch with the pavement while cornering. I still have the stock (Sport) springs.

I plan to add H-sport adj. camber plates and control arms next, and see what that does.

While I like the slammed look, I already scrape too many dips and driveways. I don't want to have to tiptoe around every speed bump.

In any case, I have not seen or heard of anyone complaining about the FSDs for a daily driver.

I just got home from the SEMA event here in Vegas, and I spoke with the guys in the Koni booth. They told me they do not recommend running FSDs on a Mini with lowering springs.

Just FYI, not that they know anything...

Searching is never as fun as getting flamed (or taunted) for not doing it!

On topic: FSD's + 19mm rear bar; quite a good combo for the street.

I have been happy with that setup for several thousand miles. Next weekend Steve's Auto Clinic will be adding SPC (same as Eibach) camber/caster plates and H-Sport rr lower control arms to the setup with two new tires up front and an alignment. I'm going to take the car through some twisties on the way home. Can't wait!!

Actually, I started my FSD adventure with the runflats. Still a better ride than stock on regular tires. Now, I am on FSDs with my winter tires (Pirelli 240 Snowsports). Ride is much smoother (probably due to 2 lbs less air in tires as well). But, it sure does get them corners... or maybe it's the driver!

...probably not
