I bought the VMaxx's early before anyone was supplying end links for R56's. Once they started supplying the endlinks, they sent me a set because R56 owners deemed them necessary.

I still have no idea why they felt them necessary. The only time the stock end links come in contact with the control arm is when the car is up on jacks in FULL droop...a position that your suspension will never see during any driving. I see no conflict issues between stock end links and control arms. I've never dealt with Cross's....maybe they're different.

At over 6" of lowering, I need to make some custom end links because the swaybar is hitting the body....but that's not something anyone else needs to worry about

Yeah, I think if Rally doesn't need them, then I probably don't, 'cause I'm not going THAT low. I just want to get rid of my wheel gap and maybe have a little wheel tuck under the fenders. I hope Tim doesn't mind me using his photo, but I think this stance is pretty much perfect, and I don't think I'd go any lower (maybe a little lower in the rear):

So, Rally, you think the stock endlinks are okay to go that low?

I'm still on stocks so you should be alright. I've been driving slammed MINI's for years now on stock end links...never had any strength issues or broken end links and the cars were put through daily driving, autocrosses, and track events. Some people have had the stock links break, so it is possible.

You should be fine. Just peek your head under the front and see what kind of clearance you have between the bottom balljoint of the end link and the control arm.

What do you want to know? I ordered them from http://www.stratmosphere.com/index.htm. I am also running them on my VW R32. They seem to be pretty good for the money.

That was such a d1ck move but hilarious at the same time.

I would ask how to make one of those but I don't want to get yelled at.

Thanks Adam! I love the new style of stripes... I think they are amazing as both bonnet and sport stripes. The red accent is really the cherry on top of the icing on the cake!

You are right! They are M7 lowering springs. My bad! How shameful that you know more about my car than me!

Haha no worries. I just wanted to check that I hadn't missed the release of some new JCW coilovers because I'd love to check them out

Actually Drew Im using my stock endlinks. And I actually had to raise a little all around due to the roads out here not being the best at being level and flat.......... Trip to Portugal 2 weekends ago I was rubbing terribly! Oh and don't worry about using the pic, I don't care. lol

Wouldnt lowering the car move the sway bar out of the optimum position?

Having the ability to adjust the links will make your sway bar more affective especially for those with after market bars. I was under that asumption that the bar needs to sit at a 90 degree angle as if you're looking at the car from the side.

So therefore shorter links in the rear and longer in the front.

Thanks! yeah, Tenzo Type M, in charcoal 18x8 et 45, with Kumho Ecsta AST 225/40/18s.

There are one or two other minis on this forum that have them too but in black.

I was looking at those at one point as well... good choice! On an 18 though, I'd at least be tuckin' tire! he he
