I just istalled my new springs. Everything looks tight, but i get some rattle type noise when I go over bumps. I can also make the noise if I turn the steering wheel back and forth while driving. I will take it apart later today to check, but does anyone have any ideas of where I should look first?
That is what i was thinking. I believe it is the only part of the spring install that could really be affected by the turning. I am going to take a long lunch today and pop off the front wheels to check. The noise is definately from the front, so I think the back are ok.
I just moved last weekend. I get an hour for lunch, but sometimes i can be over. pretty easy going here, and i live 1.5 mi from work. Had time to change twice and clean up.
Wasn't really dificulty, just had to do the rears twice because i was in a hurry and forgot a part that looked like a socket on the ground. Then i just didn't tighten the front endlinks enough. Even with all that, I only spent about 4 hours time on it. Was pretty easy with your how to

Kool! 4-hours for your first time is very reasonable. Glad everything was resolved and the instructions helped!
I had H&R springs installed on my r56 a few weeks back. On hard throttle acceleration I get this pulsing feeling from the front of the car. It almost feels like the front tires are flat-spotted. I don't notice it unless its from a low speed acceleration with a good amount of throttle. I don't hear any clunking or any other sounds. Any one have any ideas?
stock 17" tires and rims. Don't remember hearing anyone else saying that had a clearance issue. When I say they feel like the tires are flat spotted, I mean the car kind of pulses. I haven't noticed any cupping of the tire when I run my hand over it.
That is VERY odd. Could be a couple things. First be sure that everything is tight and in the correct order. That noise MAY be a result of the upper front strut assembly not being re-installed properly. There is a washer etc. that has to be installed in a particular way. If not it can cause noise, damage etc. There is NO reason the car should have any pulsations after the installation. Good luck and keep us all posted! adam@altaminiperformance.com

I have the same condition after installing Mach V's 2 weeks back. It's a low-speed, rotational vibration that is more pronounced as more torque is applied. I get it through the driven shaft on the right (no LSD). Seems to come and go depending on the conditions; EI:uphill start/wheels turned or straight, etc.
I haven't had the alignment done yet, I'm curious if your's has. Could be toe adjustment, but my seat-of-the-pants diagnosis is CV joint alignment. I'm giving it a few more weeks before it goes on the rack to check alignment.
That is VERY odd. I have a hard time signing up that it is related to the CV angles. Keep us posted! Adam@altaminiperformance.com
I hope you're right 'cause I really want to agree with you! I mean, what are we talking about? Fractional degrees? Even at whole degrees, the spec range of sweep is far beyond whatever was introduced by the change in ride-height. Does that make sense? I hope it's just toe.
I just realized that I was high-jacking Vampyres thread. I'll start one on my subject. Sorry!

I think it makes more sense that it is assembly. Many people dont' keep track of the parts when they remove them. As a result they put the collar washers on upside down in the front. Thus causing the grinding. Needs to be corrected though ASAP! Adam
I just had H & R's installed yesterday on my R56. No problems at all except that I can visibly see slight negative camber on the 2 back wheels. In about a week, I will get an alignment.
