Suspension repair

The old man messed his 05 MCS up pretty good by meeting the business end of a curb, ripping the front passenger side suspension out. Its all repaired now, and they seem to have used reconditioned parts (which he's fine with). However, they've installed a JCW front strut with the SS+ spring. The rest of the car is still the stock SS+. Will this be a problem, long term? Everything else looks to the SS+ spec.

Think the JCW strut is firmer than the SS, if true then it would ride and handle funny, not sure if it would hurt anything though... I wouldn't want 1 odd shock. My 2 cents.

Hmmm... strangely enough, I messed up my front passenger's side suspension, and will likely need a new JCW strut. I think I can get my hands on a SS+ strut. Perhaps a trade is in order? :D

The old man is fairly insistent that it rides fine, so I guess it will stay in as long as it won't hurt anything. Its not my car, so I don't really care. Should he change his mind, I will see about that trade.

How old is he? The feeling in your butt is one of the first things to go... Give him a kick and make sure it's not numb....

He's 60, and has been and will continue to be kicked.
