Still working on the pricing... And, as soon as we have firm pricing and a solid delivery date, we'll post a group buy...

X-brace fits nice and sung too, this is a killer design. Placed my order for one today. Anyone interested in a slightly dinged up USS?
Nate have you seen Jan's new header/exhaust? Any idea if this will fit over that? It's pretty beefy, takes up the whole exhaust channel .

Dr. Mike made one final tweak on the design of the gussets that'll both increase the strength and lower the cost of manufacturing (easier welding, which btw is TIG)... Due to the nature of chromoly, welding has to be done in stages and the slight design change will make things easier (less labor $). We're expecting to get the first ones in hand here in the next few weeks. It's not often you can make a design change that accomplishes these two feats!

LOL! We should have the prototype back soon, finish welded, powdercoated, and installed on our Cooper... Production is underway.

Yup... Production has started on the tubing components, but we were waiting on our laser cutting shop to get enough bandwidth to get all the gussets/washers cut. They're starting today...

We should have final pricing in the next couple days and then we'll put up a group buy...

I'll have pics of the final welded prototype very, very soon pending powdercoating. They were using it to make the welding jig and all the bits are now ready for assembly...

Because these are HAND-MADE and the materials used, each takes quite some time to weld up - and our manufacturer is nothing less than a perfectionist.

Great response! As an economist, I can only agree with your assessment of the product. I'm very excited about this component and won't be surprised by the price. Of course, I can't wait for pricing and shipping information.

Keep up the great work on this, and other things MINI.

Completely new part? You mean you didn't get ANY inspiration or design or mounting location ideas from the OMP lower bar? Really? Thumbs up to you for being original man!

Or do you mean completely new part by putting a sticker over the original logo?

Not really... Sure, the rear a-arm pickup points are important as any suspension nut would tell you.

Are we duplicating anything that anyone else has done? Hardly... Why would we want to use someone else's design?
