DDMWorks Upper Strut Brace

Hello Everyone!

we posted about this over in the drivetrain section, but thought some of you might miss it, and wanted to make sure everyone saw it. We have been working on this for awhile now and had to get it done before we could finish up our intake. It is a upper strut brace for the new R56. The pics speak for themselves. The brace is really stiff with mounts to the struts and also mounts that hook to the same location as the front support. I was up standing on the brace the other night, it is definitely noticeable when installed on the car.

Take Care,
Dave

Do you know if it will clear the new JCW air box? The JCW Strut Brace does not. Whats your ETA look like?

Looks pretty sweet, and it says they are taking pre-orders, but I have a few questions. What price bracket are we looking at for this? And will this fit with intakes besides the DDM Works (ie: Alta, JCW, etc). Any insight? How about an update from DDM Works!!! I hope this will work for me!!!

I called DDMWORKS 2 weeks ago. They said this would be ready to ship at the end of January. Does anyone think there is gonna be issues with hood or bonnet (which ever term you want to use) clearance?

Does anyone know if we can get these painted in the standard MINI colors (i.e. Astro Black)?

Yay!!! I doubt there will be issues with the bonnet; It's my CAI I'm curious about...

They said they had to redesign it to work with all intakes. That is why it's taking long, I guess.

That is sweet! It's cool that they don't try to force you into their intake, and that they actually take the time to make it compatible with other (competitors') intakes.

Haha, who cares? If you can afford to buy that intake you probably drive a Porsche and not a MINI.

Same here. Looking for a front strut brace that will fit the R56 with JCW engine kit. Bring it on!
