I am not entirely sure what you mean by smallest but the coilovers can be set at stock height ( no drop ) or they can be set so the tires rubb . ( biggest drop ) Feel free to call me if you need further clarification.

We have found that so far the supplied springs have been able to accommodate the entire range including the Clubman with good results. We had one customer that was more into track events and he swapped them out for a set of stiffer springs which were more to his liking . The springs are a standard 2.5" id so a variety of brands and stiffness will work. This was a capability we insisted on as we wanted to be able to address a wide variety of applications. Thank you for the question .

conventional logic would have me thinking you want to go stiffer in the front but both your spring rates on the coilovers out of the box and the compression settings you use here are opposite. is there something I'm missing?
We do not do installs but Johnnys Auto Clinic in San Pedro or Steves Auto Clinic in North Hills are very experienced in installing these units .

I installed M7 COs a week or so ago. Drove 200 miles set at zero. This weekend I adjusted the height (very little settling) to 1" lower than stock and started playing with the adjustability. If you want to go lower in the front, don't follow the M7 directions for a starting point, and start with more of the shock body showing below the adjustable sleeve. They recommend 2 1/8", but I would add at least a 1/2" more. Even then, you may need to remove the shock for more adjustability. If you want to go up, no problem, they can go way up. However, they are an easy install. They also look very well made, and fit very well. I had a few install problem, but they were of my own making and were easily correctable. Alignment and corner balance will come soon, but I plan to play with settings and make sure that the height is to my liking.
A few observations:
-Set at 0/0, the ride was fine. I could imagine using 0/0 or 2/2 for highway trips.
-Set at 5/5 the ride was firm, but the front and rear seemed to not be in harmony when excelerating. The weight would shift to the rear and the rebound would shift it forward and so forth, creating a very subtle and fast back and forth motion.
-Set on 10/10, you can read braille with your tires.
- I then set them on 2F/5R and the car became the coolest thing I have driven. I will continue to play around, but the leason learned with this setting is how important and useful it is to have the ability to tune the front and rear seperately. Also, having the ability to pull the car over and change settings in just a minute is reason enough to buy the M7s. It is in fact the reason that I bought them and am now glad that I did.
I have no adj. front camber plates and a stock rear sway, and will stay that way at least until a track weekend next month. The last thing I want to do now is to add an element that will effect the balanced feeling the car now has.
Good job M7! This product is exactly what you claim it is.
