Hey Candyman. Just an FYI, your sig has links for R53 and R56 but both lead to R56.

as opposed to what? MINI sport suspension or aftermarket shocks? Either way, the answer is yes. They should be fine whether you have SS, regular, or aftermarket struts. There are going to be some people who tell you not to do with stock shocks because "you'll be ridng on bumpstops" but for normal everyday driving you'll be fine.

I have the stock non sport shocks, they seam to be fine, I would like a bit more damping, but can totally live with this for now.

you should try a mini with just the springs. in my experience you are going to want more damping. the ride was too harsh for me. i finally got a set of koni yellows. the ride is great now. by the way im using mach v springs

Has anybody by some chance of God ran both Mach V and Eibach on the Sport Suspension to compare the two? I was really leaning towards the Mach V's (and still am), but the appearance of Eibach on the MINI market is inticing, simply because they've been around so long. I'm not interested in the H&R's due to the drop.

So the question again, does anybody know how Mach V compares to Eibach on Sport Supsension?

I've had mine on for over a month, the drop is just a little over an inch, about 1.2"
Heres a pic, sorry for the bad cell phone quality, plus taken at 2 different times, but that's all I got. Others of the car in my gallery.

I ordered a set of Eibach springs, but was told that they are on backorder, and wont be availabe until April!

Now I am really favoring either Mach V or just coilovers....

April now, last I checked (Monday) Tirerack was saying March 8th ...
Sucks that it's after the Alta meet, but it did take ~4 months to get our Mini, what's another month of waiting for the springs ?
As long as they get here with plenty of time to spare (install) before we head off to AMVIV late March.

R56, it's all about the waiting :P
M7, Alta, Helix, everybody's got stuff in development or coming soon...

Picked up my Eibach springs from JSC Speed. Finally got them installed on Monday over at Coast to Coast USA and am loving it. The primary reason I made the purchase was for aesthetics, but they actually provide that and so much more. No dive or squat under braking/acceleration, less torque steer, less body roll (especially in combination with my 19mm ALTA RSB) and the ride has improved!

Another thing to note is my fuel economy has noticeably improved since the install. Not sure if it's related though...

Pics ASAP!

Msteadman - You didnt pickup your springs from JSC Speed today did you??

Reason I ask that is because that is the company I ordered from, and they told me April for the next batch of Eibach springs....

maybe the lower height somehow reduces drag? Im just taking a wild guess.

Nope, I picked them up at the end of January. Guess I got lucky in that they were one of the last sets in stock.

My thoughts exactly.

I also put the scoop grille back in (after opening it up; was partially closed). My guess is having it out may have been negatively affecting aerodynamics as well...

H&R / Eibach comparison.

I bought my son H&R springs for his birthday as he also owns a R56 MCS. They were delivered yesterday so I will install them on my car first and then swap in the Eibach's I purchased for myself when they arrive. I should get 4 to 5 weeks on the H&R's before the swap occurs if my 50 year old bones can take it.I hope he does not read this.

He was excited at Christmas to get the Alta Catback..... until he found out I bought the Turboback.

Haha, good for you! Sometimes you just gotta treat yourself first.

Looking forward to a seat of the pants review from a fellow BC'er.

Cheers.
