Wheel Tire Fitment

Hi I'm new here been thinking of buying a R56.

I know if I buy Ill want a set of coilover, see only the H&R's are the ones avaible specifically for the new model but reading tells me the other ones fit with different rear spacers/bushings.

So to the point of the thread

I see a couple of people with the first gen with wide wheels by 8 or 9 but with small tires that slope up to the rim. Dont get me wrong but thats a big no for me Was wondering if a 17 X 8 wheel with a 235/45-17 tire would fit without rubbing to any extent. Been seeing that the by 7 wheels use about 42-45 offset I like my wheels as far out as possible would an offset in the 3*'s fit with the wider wheel?

I was able to fit 17x8 42mm offset with 235/40/17 Yokohama Neova's with zero issues. The main thing to consider in regards to tire clearance with coilovers is the inside tire clearance. If the spring or spring perch drop down too low and get in the way of the tire on the inside, this will definitely interfere with max tire width since the inside of the tire will surely rub on the spring or spring perch unless its spaced out accordingly.
