That's the mega-slammed setup Greg! LOL!

Seriously though, that looks like forgetting to put your lugs on, or someone backed them off as a sick prank.

Man, this thing is really making the rounds, it's already been here, and on every other car and tractor board I frequent!

If that was a prank, I would be wearing hunting gear...

On the other hand, I'm sure each of us has forgotten to tighten lugs nut once or twice hmm, perhaps I shouldn't reveal so much

I hear lots of conspiracy theories about how someone planned this or whatever, but I think it's just the way it happened.

I think that if it had "bad" lugs or whatever the owner claims, as the first wheel started to snap it's lugs, it probably started to vibrate the heck out of the car, pushing the other bad lugs into failure shortly thereafter, and to the eye it looks like they "simultaneously all fell off"... When in reality, I think they came off more or less one at a time.

I could be wrong, but I just don't see the motivation for anyone (driver or "foe" or whoever) to do something like that on purpose.

Anyhow, I'm not one to point a finger and say a name - I try to be careful, but being so confident and sure that you'll never do something stupid is probably a guarantee that you're about to do something stupid

The true and full story is over on the MU. I posted it under a Miata title...LOL!! I was too busy trying to figure out what happened to notice it was an RX-7 not a miata. Regardless a guy who was at the event posted up that it was lug related.

I just took my track tires off from last weekend, and I thought about this clip for the life of me I can not see how you could do that in that short a time of driving. If you didn't snug them up at all the wheel's should wabble around and you think you catch it. Maybe the lug nuts are plastic.
