New FSD Owner

I just installed Koni FSD's and as everyone else states, the ride is great. Really smooths out those bumps. My wife is even impressed and there's not much that impresses her about a Mini.

Yes, I have noticed that they have raised the car alittle. I hope it will settle in.

any alignment problems?

I see you installed Koni FSDs on you mini. After installing them did you experience any problems with your alignment? I have a set ready to be installed and would like to get as much know how on them before doing this mod. I have seen all kinds of threads that state you should get an alignment after about three hundred miles or so. I just was wondering about this.

You should get an alignment any time you make suspension changes that will affect alignment. The sooner the better. No need to wait xx miles. Its probably a good idea to take a short street ride to allow the suspension to settle but I'm not talking about a competitive slalom.

Not getting an alignment puts you at risk of wearing out your tires b/c the alignment settings are off. Tires get expensive....

What tires are you running on the before and after FSDs. I assume the same, but what are they?

FSDs

I am still running my run flats. But will change to an ultra high performance tire as soon as the tread wears thin.

I had an alignment done the nexrt day. Was off alittle in the front.

Again the only thing that I am not wild about is that they did raise the car about a 1/2" to 3/4" all the way around. I am hoping that they settle abit. Other than that I am Total Satisfied with ride and handling.

Hmmmm, now I understand why my ride height seemed to change not at all when I had my FSDs put on with new JCW springs - I new that the JCWs were supposed to lower about 1/2 inch, but I just didn't seem to see it. Love the combination

I am out on a 500 mile trip, and am extremely happy with the ride. I have been on some great roads in the back woods of PA on this trip and I am really impressed with improved handling.
