New Coilover on the way!!

Hey everyone,
Just joined the site, and I'll have my mini in a week. It's a 2002 Cooper S. I, obviously, got pretty anxious about getting it out here to San Diego, so I started to purchase a couple of things for it. Among the parts I purchased was a new NEX SS coilover kit. On any of my previous cars that I've owned, I haven't ever dealt with putting on an aftermarket suspension. After I put this one, what else am I going to have to do? Would it just need some camber plates after I install the coilovers?

I don't feel that I have to, it's that I want to. nothing wrong with some better handling.

how do you know you will get better handling just because they are coilovers?

suspension mods starts with tires.

Not sure what cars you were modding before. I will tell you that the Mini group is very knowable about mods for the Mini. Don't get put off by some of the answers you might get here, there is a lot to learn. Listen

My advice? Don't open the box and return them for your money back. If you want coilovers there are much better choices. Putting on Nex coilovers is downgrading from factory. The car will never handle right with these things.

Man, I guess I'll have to do a little more research. I'm getting answers from both sides of the spectrum on these coilovers. I jumped on them because I had read from another forum that the buyer was happy with them. thanks for the reply bro.

Why NEX? Because these were the cheapest coilovers available?

IMO ... i would have gone a different route and go with a PROVEN coilover.
