O4 CVT-minor and major problems-Input?

Hey guys...Just recently replaced the brakes and rotors on my 04 Coop(to avoid the high price that my local dealer was going to charge) and was wondering if there was any way of resetting the brake indicator on my own? Suggestions anyone?

Also, this is nothing related to my actual post, but I've noticed lately that my car has been overrevving when I hit 40-55mph. I'll be giving the car gas and when I hit about 45-50(keep in mind, I'm not flooring the pedal in any way), my rpms shoot up to about 5,000...and then when I get up to 65-70, it comes back down to the steady 3,500-4,000rpms. It almost feels like the car is struggling between the 40-55mph mark. Anyone have any ideas as to what this problem could be? It's an 04 CVT with about 46,000 miles on it. I've actually already scheduled a check-up for it tomorrow morning, just so that if anything major is wrong that it would fall under the warranty hopefully....

I don't believe there is any resettable brake indicator - I think it's "sensors" in the pads. Did you fit the correct year/version of OEM pads?

Well..I actually had a local autoshop(referal from someone) replace them. They told me that they replaced the sensors also, but were not able to reset the indicator primarily because they did not have the "tool" to do so.

as long as the sensors are good all you have to do is get in the car, turn the key to on, not start, position and leave it there for 20-30 seconds or so, and the light will go out. if it doesnt you have a shorted wire somewhere, or a bad sensor.

Panganiban,

Did you ever find out what the problem was with your RPMs? My car does the exact same thing?
