Winding Sound

Howzit Cousins,
Do you hear a "winding" sound everytime you open your door? It seems that the sound is coming from the cd player - its weird because this is the first time I heard this.

BTW, I am also hearing this in my BMW as well.

It's the clock winder. Automatically winds up the clock whenever you open the door.

I thought it was the giant key under the boot that was winding, getting ready for a nice long trip.

Hmmm..Yes this is very interesting, I was even wondering if it has something to do with my AUX connection since both cars have it.

Jeremy1026 is correct - it is the rubberband tensioner!
