Freak'n Window
Freak'n Window
I'm taking off the door panels to do some painting. In another post I mentioned that my passenger's side window goes up and down much slower than the driver's side. After taking the panel off I realized that the freak'n window isn't even in the rubber track. I think the day my car was built fell on the same day as everyone-in-Oxford-smoke-crack day. Seriously, how does this kind of thing happen? I expected manufacturing quality to be pretty high on this car, but I'm not even sure it's average. I guess I'm not going to roll the window down until I get time to take it in to the dealer. I was pretty excited about getting stuff painted, but this was a bit of a downer.
i don't think that you should feel that the production qulaity of your car is below average for this single downfall. it may not have been assembled incorrectly maybe the window regulator had failed or something else in the door has failed and allowed the window to get out of track. and besides anything you take to the dealer they can get it fixed and back to normal.
the quality of these cars is below par even compared to a hundai . i mean step back and look inside ; it's horrible once you're over the whole "cooper" thing . so knowing you only paid 20000 sorta helps ; but the dealerships charge as though it were a bmw . 275.00 for an oil change !! needless to say we all have to turn wrenches .
