tinted window noise fix

Just wanted to let anyone who has experienced noise (not exactly a rattle or squeak - more of a "rustling" or low-pitched "creaking") from their windows after getting them tinted that at least in my case, application of a very thin coat of Klasse rubber preserver on the window seals did away with the problem. My service advisor told me that the noise was common among mini owners who had aftermarket tint, and I had to admit that the noise began to manifest right after I had mine done. The tint film wasn't quite sealing as tightly against the rubber seals and the tiny movements of the window against the seals were responsible for the problem. I figured I didn't have anything to lose and when I washed and detailed the car over the weekend I put a thin film of the rubber treatment on the seals, let it dry and wiped excess with terrycloth - somehow the window is now seating better and no more noise. Hope this helps someone else.

O.o if it sounds like a paper-kind of rustling noise it's the bottom of the tint slowly starting to peel.
but that's just an opinion from a tinter. =]
