Problem with kaleido cloth sport seats

One of the seams in my cooper's cloth seat (driver's side) is beginning to separate

I have approx 17,000 miles on the car - year old on 5/10.

Anyone else have this problem?

No problems after 5 months and 3500 miles. What part of the seat is affected, the bottom, the back, or other?

Sorry to hear about that-
17,000 miles and 12 months- could be worn out. tinted windows help to cut down on UV light causing breakdown of the cloth fibers-but that is over 5 to 10 years.
If the cloth is wearing out due to use then maybe check with an auto upholstery specialist in your area for a quick and timely fix of the seam- do it before it gets any larger.
