Check Engine Light help

I have an Alta Cooper S intake on my Cooper S. We just installed it and must have not tightened the hose all the way its sounded like it came off a little on the highway. I pulled over and tightened it and went straight home and fixed the hose problem. Its now flush with the throttle body and all fixed up. But I have a check engine light on now. Does anyone think they know what the problem is? I'm going to get the error code tomorrow at auto zone. But any ideas why the light is still on?

Because of the incorrectly metered air to the TB, a code was triggered and stored for that problem, probably thinks the mass airflow sensor is shot or something. Get an OBD code reader and clear the code, or R & S strouss can do it for like $20.00

As you modify expect more cel flashes. Most common appear's to be P0426. 0-2 sensor # 2 function. Currently have free flow exhaust, 15 % reduction pulley, intake ,Header's, free flow exhaust and cel 0426 about every 90 miles. Going to fix it once and for all Monday and install electronc 0-2 simulator resistor. Your prob in that it occurred post install of CAI may be an intake leak eg 92096. Go to Auto zone buy OBD-ll Reader for approx 65.00 and you will be able to read what code is triggering and you will be able to extinquish most codes. You will also be able to determine which codes may be potentially problematic for your engine therefore need service.

mini's have MAP sensors and no mass airflow meters, leaks before the TB shouldn't cause anything more than a noise problem.
