One thing I found out from the dealership is that the clutch is manufactured for 45k miles only... I had to have my slave cylinder replaced at my expense 2 months ago and now they are telling me that my entire clutch needs to be replaced! EVERY car I have EVER driven has gone over 100k miles before I needed to replace the clutch - then again I have only ever driven Nissan's. So this is a BIG... No make that a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT to me.

I am only at 39k miles and I DRIVE my car. I know how to drive a stick. And I also cannot afford a $2000 clutch... ****, I paid less than that on my 1990 300ZXTT that has 428hp and that is a Stillen high performance clutch & aluminum flywheel.

Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggg!!!!

I'm not entirely sure about that figure. It seems awfully low, especially considering I was at 70,000 miles on a stock clutch and it's my first manual transmission. However, I did have my slave cylinder replaced around 36k, mostly because I didn't want it failing on me at an inopportune moment. I also had the clutch replaced recently because it was beginning to slip some, but it wasn't due to it wearing out with normal usage, it was more due to the modifications I had done that gave me ~180ft/lbs of torque at the wheels (with hopefully a little more coming soon).

I now have a Spec 3+ in the car. It's a very different beast from the stock clutch. However, it's still breaking in. I have maybe 100 miles on it (just picked the car up yesterday). It's like learning how to drive again because of how touchy it currently is.
