recently, when turning off the car the rear wiper activates for a single go back and forth. can anyone fill me in on what causes/might be causing this? or any ideas?

I found this bug noted in a post on mini2.com but with no responses (also 6 months ago...)

6 months and still have a bug?!
Best suggestion would be to take it to the MINI dealer service and explain your rear wiper "gremlin".
It doesn't sound like too many people have this problem and have no input/ideas.

Your rear wiper works properly other than that?

I think the (infamous) BC1 Body Control Module does the rear wipers ... it would get a signal from the switch telling it how to control the rear wiper.
So it might be an electrical noise issue triggering the wipe; otherwise it is probably a replacement BC1 ... Lee (MINI Peabody) will enjoy helping you with that one!

Yeah, I've allready taked to peabody about it, we just laughed... the wiper works fine other then that There getting my car again in thursday so I'll ask them to investigate it more then.
