Went to go pop the hood this morning, and the passenger side did not release. Pushed it down and tried again, to no avail...

Had no time to attempt troubleshooting, but will do so maybe tonight after work. Any thoughts, please share! Thanks.

 

I know that in the early MINIs there was an issue with the release cable coming off of the release cam, but I don't recall the solution. A search proved fruitless.

I think this is what Eric was talking about. It sounds like a simple fix. I hope this is all you need and it's not something more sinister.

I've got a sticky to remind me to research this more on the forums, but I've been too busy at work to do so...

I just had the wheel off and liner removed to tighten a crank bolt... Actually, I just got a call from MINI today saying that my new crank bolt has arrived, so when I put that it in, I'll address this cable... Thanks again.

 

Just to follow-up, I didn't need to do that procedure. I noticed that my MCS was parked on some very uneven terrain. I drove it to a more flat surface on my property, and the bonnet release worked!
