So tonite I was driving my car and everything was working fine, then I shut my car off walked into a store, came out about an hour later and when I turned my car on and put my headlights on my speedometer didnt light up, my blinker light signal in my car wasnt working (the actual exterior blinkers were)and my seatbelt signal and my passengers wouldnt disable when we put our seatbelts on. Then I turned my car off and turned it back on and the speedometer lit up but when i checked my blinker signal it worked but wouldnt stop even when it wasnt in the turn left or turn right position. By the time i got home (about 5 miles later) everything had worked again. Im going to go to the dealer tomorrow and make sure everythings ok but has this happened to anyone else? Could an elctrical wire be loose or is it something more serious? Ive only had my mini for 2 months-used, and it is at 10,000 miles- have had no problems before--HELP!

 

Is the CEL on? Obviously a thrown code would really help you out here.

I had somewhat similar symptoms when my battery was going dead, and also when my ECU died.

I'm guessing a voltage problem, but I'm no expert. Keep us posted.
