Service Engine Light ?
Service Engine Light ?
I searched the older posts and couldn't find my answer to this question:
How can I get the 'Service Engine Soon' light to stay off? I just had an oil change and at the dealers, they said there is a software problem that makes it come/stay on. It's more annoying than anything, but what if there is a problem? How would I know? Sometimes when I start the car, it goes off after the initial routine check. Sometimes it stays on for a few days, sometimes it stays off for a few days.
Dealer said they are aware of the glitch and are working on it? Anyone else seen this?
Thanks ahead of time,

Assuming your still under warranty, I would just let the dealer take care of it, but I would also be curious to know what the fault code(s) is, did they explain the problem to you? or assume you would not understand!

i have one of those.
jk, just get it scanned at autozone and have it cleared, or
get a Acron (sp?) OBDII scanner for like $70 and clear it yourself.
my car had that intermittent SES problem last year after getting V42.
i don't have any SES lately as the car seemed to finally adapt to it.
