Need help with vacuum/boost leak...

Here's the rundown.

I was at the track last weekend and on the 3rd session I lost power. This happened on the last lap with the car running perfect earlier in the day. During the break I looked for any loose wires, hoses etc without finding anything. At the start of the next session I felt the same power loss, anytime I was at full throttle. I noticed that I was only getting about 4 to 5 psi of boost and the engine did not want to go above 5000 rpm's. When I went to the pits I noticed that the vacuum gage only read 4 to 6 in Hg at idle. Before this happened, the vacuum would read 18 to 20 in and the boost at full throttle was 15 psi. The engine runs fine, with a smooth idle and no missing but the gage reads only from 4 in vacuum to 5 psi boost.

Any ideas out there on what could be wrong? The IC hoses and clamps are tight (new Alta hoses on M7 DFIC) and I am running the Detroit Tuned BVP. This has me stumped :(

IDK?

I have a spare bpv that i can try this weekend. I was hoping for some ideas for nailing down the problem before throwing parts at it.

break out the propane dude. open it and point the bottle at all possible leaks. go slowly . this will (if there's a leak) cause the rpms to go up due to the added fuel . if this happens ; there's your leak .
