Dirty chrome exhaust pipe tips

My '06 MCSC has black exhaust marks all around the outside of the chrome - even a day or two after I drive it. Does everyone elses do this too?

Mine gets that as well as a more concentrated mark on the lower center like it was liquid and spilling out (I know its not, but thats how it looks). Shows up after only a couple of days of commuting. Wipes right off though.

Actually you are quite correct! Water, primarily from condensation, does trickle out of your tailpipe carrying the sooty deposits with it.

Just one more thing to clean!

'06 MCSC here, too - same thing. Wipes right off, but it does come back in a day or two.

i wonder if this is because of how rich the engine runs. what i would like to know is if it happens less to those who have unichips, mth, or giac. anyone with these mods care to speak up?

You know, I'm quite sure I don't have a burble, though I would like one.

I have had both GIAC and MTH. They made no noticable difference in the exhaust carbon. Burble is even better with only one-ball!

I can second that, esp if the run from the cat is changed to 2.5". Just for PC the exaust tips are not chrome, but rather they are polished stainless steel, 304 alloy I think.

I could be wrong, but I think the burble is only on the MCS.
