Motor Mount Damage
Motor Mount Damage
I would like to know if any one has experienced damage to there paint from there motor mount leaking ? I noticed splatter down the passenger side and all over the back of the car after a wash. The brown spots would not come off with wax or clay bar. I took my car into the dealer ship for the repair of the motor mount and for them to clean the spots. I just got an email from my service rep and he told me that the body shop could not get the stains out without repainting the damaged areas. He then went on to say that the body shop had a factory rep look at the damage and told them that there was not enough hydraulic fluid to spray all the way to the back of the car and that Mini would not repair the damage
. He then went on to say that his manager thought I should have MY insurance pay for the damage and that the dealership would pay for the deductible
. This has been my first Experience with my dealer and so far it’s not going very well. I would love to hear from any of you that might have had any paint damage from this happen to them. Thanks,

Wow ! I would never have thought that I would be the ONLY ONE that has ever had damage from the oil leak. I've read post after post of people that have had the motor mount leak on them and there engine bay had a stain from the leak. I think I noticed it quickly because of the color of my car and the fact that I clean my car every week and go over it with a fine tooth comb each time.
