My guess is that if any of the new owners were to check their actual horsepower on their GPs, they may have the basis for a lawsuit.
Let's wait and see.

hmmm... that pic of the gp makes it look like it doesn't have hte lower radiator that my 06 mcs has. I have the one that the new m7 air diverter goes on top of and this gp looks like it doesn't...
any ideas>?

Yes, that GP doesn't have the airconditioning radiator installed.
I saw 5 GPs at the Sandia Motor Speedway in Albuquerque on Thursday and they didn't *seem* to have 218HP...but then again, the owners weren't letting the locals who knew the track behind the wheel! Good thing too.
They look cool, that's for sure.

IC and redline changes...
they bumped the red-line a few hundred RPMs. That makes a few HP. The IC is larger, reducing pressure drop accross the core. The new cover doesn't really do that much, but if they didn't make it no air would get to the back of the IC! There are no changes to the SC itself....

The GP horsepower rating is at 7100 RPM compared to 6950 for the Works kit.
Also, the 218 HP rating is metric horsepower which equates to about 215 ponies

So, can we flash our ECUs with the GP software and get the higher RPM? I could then put my Unichip back in and get more HP...
(my guess that someone has tried this already - I'm never the first.)
cheers,

The best about it is the price - only € 148,-!!!!
Did you have to replace the underhood air duct which seals to the top of the cooler?
Please provide the part numbers.
