Removing Cabin Air Intake Grill
Removing Cabin Air Intake Grill
A mouse seems to have crawled into the fresh air ducting on my 2004 MCS and died. I store the car in a barn between uses. I want to remove the air intakes just in front of the bottom edge of the windshield. Mine are the black "grate" style that seem to match the lower grill and the JCW aero kit pieces.
I looked in the Bentley manual. Nope.
I searched here but I must not be using the right terms.
My next step is some electrical tape around the end of a putty knife and try to pop it out.
It is likely simple, but I can find ways to make it difficult it seems.
Thanks.

Good News--Bad News
Thanks.
Yep, just a bit of a push on the rearward side and out they pop. That's good. The bad, no mouse.
Has anyone ever had the ductwork on the passenger side out? The initial shower of nest material was from the footwell vent on the passenger side. I may dremel the grill out and run a vacuum hose up in there.
Appreciate the thoughts.
