Valve Cover Gasket Leak
Valve Cover Gasket Leak
Hi All
So today I decided to swap in my new Denso IK20 spark plugs. Everything went well until I got to plug #4 and found oil on the washer of the oem spark plug. I looked down the tube and saw a bit of oil, so it seems I have a valve cover gasket leak.
I'll bring it in for warranty repair, but my question to you guys: do you guys revert all your visible mods to stock before bringing your car in for warranty repair? My only mods are new spark plug wires and new spark plugs - neither is OEM, and I don't want them to blame by wires or plugs for the valve cover gasket. It would be hard for them to prove it, but it's my word against theirs since I found this leak before replacing the plugs. The safest thing to do is to change the plugs and wires back to OEM, and would only take about 10-15 minutes... but I'd rather not since the car drives better with the new plugs/wires
thanks for your comments
