Sluggish S, post O2 sensor lean (p2096)

Hi all, I'm working on a 2002 S with 27K for my better half, with some unusual problems. I scanned the car and it read P2096. Checked for exhaust leaks (none) and replaced the rear O2 sensor. I reset the SES light and cleared the codes but the P2096 still shows up after the clearing. I even pulled a vacuum line to add another code and then cleared the codes again. They all cleared but the P2096. The car is also sluggish but runs smooth. I checked out the manifold pressure and it reads a steady 19 inches at idle, but I didn't see any manifold pressure build under acceleration. Opening the valve cover cap it appears to have an abnormal amount of crankcase pressure. Is this typical? How is the pressure relief for the wastegate routed? The car uses no oil and runs very smooth normally. It has had the fluctuation in rpm at a stop a few times but not normally. The belt tensioner sounds a little noisy too. I know that this may be more than one thing but, better to tell all to see if there might be some correlation. Thanks for the input or the read.

I have exactly the same problem. The P2096 comes back after clearing it on the next read cycle of the Obd2 reader. I have no vacuum leaks, no leaks in exhaust and have change the post O2 sensor. What was the fix for your problem?

Even though it says its the secondary O2 sensor, it's really the primary. Go figure, mine had the same thing and they changed the primary and it has been code free since.

also if youre getting the abnormal pressure at the oil fill check your pcv pipe and/or valve . mine was collapsing and causing the abnormal pressure. and without the cumbustion gases added to the mix who knows?
