ABS, DSC lights ???

Lately the ABS, driving stability control and sometimes "run flat tire indicator" lights come on. I haven't noticed any change in the engine, braking, etc. Still runs great! Several times they go out the next time it's driven. Also recently noticed excessive wear to the right front tire - almost bald with only 13,000 miles on it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - the dealer we bought it from is almost 2 hrs. away - no other "authorized mini" dealers nearby !

I don't know about the flat tire indicator false alarms. If you're wearing out tires that fast, perhaps they're not false alarms. Did you check your tire pressure when the light came on?

Regarding the ABS/DSC warning light: this was the only sign of trouble present in the minutes leading up to an engine bay fire originating from the ABS/DSC unit (It was car #4 in the stickied thread at the top of this forum). However, if the warning light is intermittent, then perhaps this could be due to underinflation (due to wheels moving at different speeds)?

I'd pay a visit to your dealer, 2 hour drive or not, and be listening for sound of electric motors turning after shutdown (other than the radiator cooling fan). In the event that this should occur, disconnect your battery ASAP to save your car.

i had the ABS/DSC + Tire lights come on solid. Ended up being an abs sensor module of some sort.

500$ in canadian dollars later, i was on my way

Good way to test if its the same thing, when all the lights are on solid, find a safe place.. get up to speed (say 25mph) and then lock up the brakes. If you have no ABS, odds are same problem i had. Or the sensor is starting to fail at least
