Hatch stuck close.....help

Hatch stuck close.....help
Just on day, the rear hatch just decided not to open. What can i do? It's a 02' mini cvt. Has anyone else had problems with the hatch?

There should be a pull loop underneath the rear bench seat. (I'm pretty sure that the pull was on all MINIs...)

Unfortunately, the pull loop was not on all '02 MINIs.
Better have a talk with your local dealer. I believe the pull loop can be added after the fact which will help if this happens again.

Thanks for all the help. No pull loop, but, I pulled the plastic interior panel off and found that messing with the latch will unlatch manually. Problem fixed....thanks guys.
