'06 SIRIUS Antenna...Removal of OEM...S.O.S.

I found the installation instructions off another link another member posted. It was an actual Mini instructions for Part Number 84 11 0 150 524. But I need the Mini instructions for Part Number 84 11 0 393 780 which is for the '05-'06 antennas.

Any help or info that anyone can pass along would be GREAT!!! I have already started tearing down the inside to start this and the FedEx truck is due at the house any minute now.

Thanks
Rick

I was able to figure it out.

There are just two plugs from the stock antenna that need to be disconnected. There are two quick disconnect type plugs mounted in a holder just to the right of the antenna mast looking foward. Once you find them you can just pop them out of their holder.

It was a very easy job...the only hard part was getting my hands into the tight spot without hurting the headliner.

*****H/K or CD changer systems you will have to order an additional part to connect the Sirius receiver to the head unit*****

84 11 0 150 532 CD Changer Extension Cable 1.5M
84 11 0 150 533 H/K Extension Cable 1.5M

Morristown Mini made NO mention of the possible additional parts. Lucky for me while surfing I came accross these part numbers the Mini Installation Instructions. I had to order it at the local BMW/Mini parts dept.

If anyone is looking to do this project and you need help drop me a line.

Rick

Any chance you are working on a convertible? I have a convert with all the Sirius parts sitting in my garage waiting for the clue to make it all go together and work.

No, sorry it is the hard top.

The convertible is not set up for the sirius radio? Bad thing is Mini uses the old antenna wires (two plug) so you can not just get any antenna and plug it in.

I will surf and see if I can find some info for you.
