Aloha,
I installed a M7 thermostat a few weeks ago and it has been working great so far.
I had the hot air coming through AC vents thing happening. It is much less now.
While sitting in traffic I don't sweat now.
Installation was weird, as there are no instructions. I am realatively skilled at taking stuff apart so it wasn't too bad.
I was going to take some pix but my camera is a piece o *****.
With summer coming up this should be a good mod for Hawaii.

What kind of temp drop have you noticed? Any difference in performace when the car has been running for a while?

 

I didn't really notice any great HP gains.
It just runs cooler, I guess the gains would be overall cooler opperating temp.
Less heat build up and less heat to disapate.

I second that. I do think that my car maintains power noticeably better with the cooler t-stat, though. It does seem more like when it's just starting up, after it's been driven with tough love . Cheap insurance as the power increases, imo.
