HELP NEEDED - JCW Intake Install

I read through multiple instructions, other posts on this site, etc., and still cannot find where to connect the vacuum hose. I think I've found it but don't know for sure and I don't want to force anything apart if I'm not sure.

Also, got all of the electrical connections made with relative ease and decided I'd go top off the tank and see how things were. On the way to the gas station it was great, all things were positive. On the way back, my Sevice Engine Soon light and EML light were both on and the car ran and sounded awful. When I pulled into the garage, there was steam coming out of the bonnet. I'm hoping that it was just because it was pouring rain. Also hoping the other problems were just because of the fact that the vacuum line was not attached yet.

So, back to the original question; anyone know where I need to hook up the vacuum hose? Pics would certainly be helpful.

Thanks.

I believe that vacuume hoses go on the tube from the air box to the TB. If you have a manual, there is 1 hose, autos, there are 2.

Just saw this, If you didn't have the vaccum line connected, quite frankly I'm amazed you actually made as far as the gas station without going into a scary version of the limp mode. Do you happen to know which code was thrown, just to be sure the electrionics aren't causing the issue?

Original question, next to the TB, closer to the engine block there is a black plastic recptical, according to the directions posted remove the line from there inserte yout tee and reattach the line to the tee. Hope this helps if you're not already up and running I'll see if I an get a photo or two after the sun comes up.

Everything is fine now. Special thanks to smokey4 for the help over the weekend. The vacuum line was not that bad, I just didn't want to pull off what I thought it was without knowing for sure. All the lights are now out and the car runs fine, no problems.

I can't say that I notice any difference but haven't driven it much yet. I think I may remove the blank that covers the hole in the rear partition, I seem to have lost some low end torque and the throttle is less responsive that it used to be.

I recently installed the JCW instake... I removed the round blank hole as this hole matches up perfectly to the rear partition. More flow from the cold air side can't hurt... I did the 15% RP at the same time... so I cant tell the effects of the intake on its own... but together... the whole car is transformed... the intake sounds great and has much better breathing capabilities than the stock setup... So I am sure they are both working together just fine... All the low end hesitation is gone and the sounds at 4500 rpm and above are a nice addition...I also like the looks, fit and finish of the intake...

Mike-

Looks like we have identical setups; 15%, JCW, Milltek. I had the Milltek and pulley on first and just added the JCW. I'll remove the blank hopefully in a week or so when I can get the time. Good input.

Still waiting on the Milltek.. thought I would stay on the conservative side and keep things reliable... nice combo... keeps the OEM feel with more punch and less hesitation... but the whole car is transformed and it feels so much better in all areas...
