What needs to be greased?
I'm a noob to MINI and wondered if there was anything that needs to be greased. On my trucks I always found areas underneath that had zerq fittings and needed grease. Anything on the Mini Cooper that needs grease?
Sadly most trucks these days still use decades old automotive technology. Wheel bearings, tie rod ends, and ball joints are sealed now and last a very long time without any maintenance. Thanks to synthetic oils and tighter engines, 3K-5K oil changes are also becoming a thing of the past for more and more cars!
If you have a sunroof, the tracks could probably use a greasing once every few years. Probably wouldn't hurt to do the door hinges and latches too since they are exposed to the elements.

Under drivers cowl-- wiper linkage with light oil
door hinges, hood latches& the door doesn't open too far things --30-40wt oil
hood release cable -- light oil
seat runners --multi purpose grease
doorlocks -- oil containing graphite
door weatherstrips, boot seal & any other rubber --silicone spray --(spray on rag & wipe on)
sunroof rails with--??
And my favorite--squeaky windows--will need to remove door panels to grease (see squeaky window fix for directions)
That should keep you buisy for awhile!
