Intermittant loss of power steering...
We were on a run through some twisties today, when I noticed that on the rare occasion, I would lose my power steering. It only occured during intense driving (spirited), and only intermittantly. The wheel would suddenly feel like old manual "armstrong" steering, and only for a second or two. When we got back to regular street/highway driving, not a problem.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm taking the MINI into the dealer on Monday to have it looked at. You think I'll get the old "cannot duplicate problem" response, since most likely they won't take it for a test drive on some twistie back roads?
I'd love to hear other's experience with a similar steering problem.
