Not sure this is a problem, but I never noticed it before in the Mini. I've heard electric fans continue to run after the engine is shut down often, and I know it is "normal." However, I never noticed it prior to the last couple of days.

It is a high-pitched whine, that continues up to 30sec to a minute after I have shut down. As far as I can tell, it seems to be pretty much in synch with what I would expect of the temp of the engine -- that is, it seems to me that the hotter the engine is likely to be when I shut doewn, the longer the sound continues. I had a module replaced under warranty just abot two weeks ago because the dome "courtesy" light had not worked for a long time. I didn't mind because it just wasn't a big deal to me. However, I'm wondering if it is normal, but didn't happen beofre because this module swas a problem??

Anyone know anything? Should I take it in?
