fuel presure regulator vacuum connection

I tee'd into this for my boost guage, per the factory instructions, and had the line pop off the Tee today while driving. The car still ran, but is it safe to do this for an extended period of time if this occurs or do I need to immediatly pull over and get this connected?

doubt it is a good thing. I don't know how much the MINI fluctuates, but the miata used to swing about 10 PSI of fuel pressure from full vacuum to 0 vacuum.

Why not add a few small zip-ties to help secure the connection>?

Believe me, the zip ties are being added this morning. I was thinking emergency situation, no "safe place" to pull off, could the car be driven (albeit not hard) for a few miles. I drove abou 3, tried my best not to hit any boost levels so as not to fry any pistons...

I'm not sure how it works, but that is actually a pulsation damper. the regulator is in the tank.

My port for the boost gauge off of the intake was clogged from the factory with some sort of sealer. Dealer had no idea how to fix it or what was wrong. I discovered it with a mirror and used a left handed drill bit to remove on end of vise grip. Boost gauge works perfect aftger that. Some quality control
