Transmission Q?

Starting to have difficulty getting the trans into reverse. (06 MC 5spd).
Seems to be only when cold. Sometimes the only way to get it to click in is to first rock the car forward in 1st, then retry reverse.
Anyone else having similar?

ETA: the car has 6100 miles and has just started doing this in the past week. Also getting some annoying high freq vibration thru the pedals.

Well you say there are some high frequency vibrations? Maybe something is wrong with your tranny.

Either way, try putting your Mini into 3rd gear, then put it in R. Works everytime for me, slides right into gear. You can actually use all the forward gears, I just find 3rd to be easiest to shove into

Pretty common problem from all the past posts on this. My '05 MC does the same thing, but with use I notice when it doesn't engage all the way now. When I feel that it isn't I just put it in first and disengage the clutch just enough to make it move. Then it goes into reverse easily. It's just the way it is. Nothing to worry about.
