Brake light problem

I have a '04 MCS and have started blowing brake light fuses. All other electrical systems seems fine. I am using a 12v converter in the cig lighter socket to run my laptop, but that's only thing out of ordinary I can think of. Any ideas on where to look?

well if its blowing fuses its a short somewhere,
check all the bulbs including the high level brake light
then check the wiring and connectors from the back lights to the fuse box
