How do I adjust non-Xenon headlights?

I serached a handful of threads about adjusting headlights but what I found were for the self-adjusting. Would someone give me the how-to on adjusting my non-self-adjusting-non-xenon lights?

There are adjustment screws on the back of the headlight inside the bonnet. To do it properly you need the MINI tool that allows adjustment with the bonnet closed.

i did the adjustment and had my wife sit in the passenger's seat
to 1) have the proper weight in the car and 2) pull the latch
for the hood so that i could tweak the adjusters.

much cheaper and less time than driving to my not-so-close mini dealer.

Thanks you two, I'll get the wife in the passenger seat and go from there.

When I got my MC, the headlights were aimed very badly, like 20 ft in front of the car. I pulled it up to a wall, and by adjusting, closing the bonnet, checking, adjusting, etc. etc., I got them level. Then I drove around the block and made sure I wasn't blinding anyone, and kept adjusting and driving around until I got them right. I know others who have poorly aimed headlights from the factory. The guy putting in the lights in Oxford must be nearsighted or something.
