I am a new MINI owner & love it so far. Mine is an '03 burgandy. Everything works but the temp on the OBC. It only reads -40 degrees. Can any of you help. I want to begin troubleshooting with the sensor... but have no idea where it is or what it looks like. Please give me some clues on this & any other idea of what might be the problem. Thanks, tim

It's clipped onto the back of the bumper. Do a search. There was another thread on this topic about a month ago.

Usually it is routed through a few holes in the aluminum strutbrace on the front of the car (above the drivers side foglight area). You'll have to take the front bumper off to get to it but after you get it off you should see a single line lead heading towards the front of the car (sort of an extension of the wiring harness).

The sensor itself looks like a baby's nose sucker (hey, thats the terminology they gave me from the Bentley Manual :D) and has a snap-together connector. I haven't taken my bumper off in awhile but thats where the sensor is........

Hope this helps,
