Reset Service Interval... what else?
Reset Service Interval... what else?
I just found the reset service interval instructions very handy, but in my first few failed attempts I notices it says test and you can cycle through several numbers. What other interesting things can one accomplish using the "Wonder Button" as I now call it. Has anyone played around with these things?
Now I asked a long time ago (to the dealer and this forum) if such a code existed and no one thought there was such a thing. To all you nay sayers... HA! I told you so!
But seriously, can we get some documentation from a cool service guy what the rest of this stuff does? I don't want to go fiddling around with it unless I know what is going to happen, but sooner or later my curiosity is going to get the better of me!!:impatient
For those that want to do the reset I'll reitterate here:
Push and hold trip button (on speedo) and turn key one click and wait for tst or SIA then release... press again and hold unil rst or reset comes up and release... then press again to accept 15500.
Do remember that the dealer will only service your car (under warranty) when this indicator reads less than 1000 (roughly, depending on dealer) so don't use this unless you are out of warranty and not going back to the dealer! (I know... duh, but some people's children... you never know!)
