Performance Coatings- Ceramic Coating w/pics

I recently purchased an OBX header for my 04 MCS. I sent it to Performance Coatings in Auburn Washington for their ceramic coating. I e-mailed one of the folks there, Brad Gua- let me tell you, I had one of the best customer service experiences ever at this place. These folks are very responsive to MINI owners- in fact Brad just bought an S himself. I sent my OBX header, the stock header heat shield and my ALTA CAI “box” to them to get coated. I sent them my parts and a week later they were already back to me. The turn around time is outstanding! I had the “satin titanium” finish applied to the header and heat shield and the “stain black” applied to the ALTA CAI box. I’m having the header installed in a few weeks but I installed the CAI box and heat shield this afternoon when the parts arrived. I had the parts coated because I live in south/central Texas (San Antonio) and this summer the heat was out of control! Being that my car is all black doesn’t exactly help the situation. We had temperatures that pretty much stayed in the high 90s/low 100s all summer. I could tell a definite difference in the cars performance when driving home in the afternoon. I’m anxious to see how the coated parts perform. Is coating these parts going a little overboard…..probably…if nothing else at least I have a few more things to add to my signature line! I’ve attached a few pics of the pieces before install. If you want to get a hold of the fine folks at Performance Coatings (I can’t recommend them highly enough) their website is www.performancecoatings.com Shoot Brad an e-mail at brad@performancecoatings.com and I guarantee he’ll make you happy, drop me a PM with any questions[/font]

Looks good. Sorry you didn't decide to do it where I work, you would have gotten 2 coates of xylan & top coat of the titanium for $150. Plus you could have saved some on shipping being that we are in Houston.

Performance Coatings

When I lived in Seattle I did business with Performance Coatings for probably half a dozen motorcycle exhausts at various times. Always professional, always helpful, always knowledgeable. Their service and their product is absolutely first rate, IMO.
