I'm rebuilding a wrecked '02 base mini. I've been looking all over for a used but nice chili red replacement base front bumper cover takeoff. I finally found one from a junkyard out-state (who insisted it was a base model) and they sent it and its an MCS. Since my car isn't reassembled enough to check, anybody know if an S will fit a base?

Mitchell's estimating guide shows a different P/N for the bar behind the two bumpers. I trial fit my bar to the cover and it seemed fine but the parking light connector interferred on the bar, but a bit of grinding to the bar's cutout (1/4") for the light assy will clear that up. I think the aero dam under the front won't match up right either, but i might be able to work that out. Anybody know anything else or have any experience?

Anybody know if an MCS grill with fit a base hood?
