Fuel Injection cleaning

MY 2003 MCS just had a "Fuel Injection Cleaning" done at 49,000 mi during my last MINI service. WOW! What a difference. I wish I had done this at the beginning of auto-x season. I wasn't sure that the discounted price of $99 with coupon from the dealer would be worth it, but it definitely made a significant improvement in power and smoothness.

A couple of questions:

1. What did they do exactly?

2. I run the best local "Brand Name" 93 octane that supposedly has some sort of cleaning agent included. Is this BS?

3. I don't mind the $99 to $150 if this is the result after 50,000 miles but is there something I can do betweening cleanings?

4. Should I do this more often? What is the recommended interval? Can I do this once a year?

cleaner

read up on BG 44K fuel inj. cleaner. it is a fuel additive cleaner. another method is to send injectors off to a specialty cleaner for the best cleaning.

do u know if along w/ur cleaning did they add this BG 44k in ur gas tank, cuz if they did u should fill ur tank up for maxxxxx performance

i use the same type of fuel ur talking bout but switch around alot, read somewhere that thie is most efficient due to the different types of cleanin' additives that different name brand fuels use........
